I Fasted For 3 Days! This Is What I Learned

I have come to the sad conclusion that we pamper ourselves too much, and as a result, we never get to uncover even the tiniest fraction of our capabilities.

The 3-day fast was a reset button

The reason most people meditate, go on a hike, climb mountains, ditch Social media, shun the news, go into nature, and even experiment with psychedelic drugs is because of the desire to reconnect with themselves.

This is exactly what I intended to achieve when I embarked on a conscious 3-days Water Fast.

Having a Water Fast meant I abstained from food and drank only water. The Fast was a deliberate attempt to grow my self-awareness.

Usually, when we fast, our body starves. And we can feel it starving.

We are not the body. We are the being inside the body empathizing with it. The body only houses us, we transcend it.

Conscious fasting leads us to this awareness.

It is a great way for us to get back in touch with our body and our inner being. Especially when we feel out of sync with our self.

We are constantly distracted from our own ‘self’.
